Business Context and Use

This inbound operation reads advertising issues.

You can use the inbound operation to read advertising issues, store them in a database table or in the working memory of a Web server, and display them in the input help on a user interface as required.

You should read the data at regular intervals, for example every night or once a week, so that the advertising issues for display are up to date.

Features

This inbound operation processes the following message types:

• AdvertisingIssueERPByElementsQuery_sync
• AdvertisingIssueERPByElementsResponse_sync

The query message can transfer a publication date or publication period ( PublicationPeriod ), a basic booking unit or combined booking unit, and a content component for each sales area and item type ( AdvertisementTypeCode ).

If there are advertising issues that match the data transferred, the response message returns all the matching issues. The data on an advertising issue that is returned includes the following:

• Booking unit
• Content component on the first hierarchy level, content component
• Publication date and a copy number, if there is one

If there are no advertising issues that match the data transferred, the response message returns a message stating this fact.

The Web service definition in the SAP back-end system for this inbound operation is called ISM_ADVISSUEBYELQR.
