The Retail Incentive business object enables a retailer to replicate offers in the Point Of Sales (POS) systems of stores. The offers to be replicated are set up in the SAP ERP back-end system.
Retailers use offers as an integral part of increasing sales at the point of sale.
Exceptional sales offerings to customers ("offers") are set up in the SAP ERP back-end system and have to be replicated to the POS system in stores. An offer can be 'stand-alone', that is a retail bonus buy or it can be one of several possible offers of a retail event. The store does not require the whole retail event. The reference to the retail event is only necessary for reporting reasons. Hence, a Store Offer view onto the transformed object Retail Incentive is introduced to be able to separately transfer all offer nodes of business object Retail Bonus Buy (separate offers) and of business object type Retail Event (offers part of a retail event). Depending on what each individual store chooses, this allows the separate transfer of all separate offers.
Retail event (specialization in SAP for Retail), retail bonus buy (specialization in SAP for Retail)
Currently all stores get the same view of the offer in a retail incentive.
