Business Context and Use

The Grant business object is used to create, update, read, and search for grants. These services are relevant for Public Sector Management (PSM).

A grant is driven and monitored by the grantor (sponsor) who provides the resource. For this purpose, a grant is represented according to the reporting requirements of the grantor. A grant is assigned to one or more funds for internal reporting purposes but it does not represent an organizational unit. A grant can, for instance, reflect an application for money. It can contain information on the conditions dictated by the grantor (sponsor).
